Strategic Partnership for Tax Education
The inception
In June 2023, Akili Network partnered with the KRA(KENYA REVENUE AUTHORITY) to create Captain Shuru, an animated superhero series, designed to introduce children to the concept of taxes through engaging, locally inspired storytelling.
Together with KRA(KENYA REVENUE AUTHORITY), we launched Captain Shuru, a relatable superhero who mentors two curious kids, Tuji and Taji, helping them understand how taxes support schools, roads, hospitals, and the services that shape everyday Kenyan life.
